• Question: Basically for homework we were told to ask you five questions which we would like to be answered, so here goes ... What was your favourite subject at school? You seem to have had a lot of career choices, when did you realise this was the job for you? Apart from the website, how else would you spend the money? What is your favourite science museam? How well did you do in your GCSE's i.e your results? Thank you ! :)

Hi Sonia – my absolute favourite subject was probably chemistry, I really enjoyed the experiments!

I did have a hard time deciding to do science or music, but I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to do both, and that I’ve ended up as a scientist, I don’t plan on changing that now!

If I had some extra money left over, what I’d like to do is go back to my old school and give a talk about being a scientist there. I don’t think any of the teachers that taught me are still there (it was a looong time ago!) but it would be great to go back there, and maybe encourage some of the current students to become scientists too.

I’m afraid I’m so old I didn’t do GCSEs but I did ‘O’ levels instead (they changed to GCSEs just a few years after though). I didn’t do particularly well – I got As for English and History, and Bs for most other subjects I think. I failed Drama with a grade D 🙁 It’s so long ago I’m having problems remembering!
