No pets. My house is crazy enough with two small children running around screaming all the time! I used to have a cat when I was growing up though. She didn’t have a name, she just turned up on our doorstep one day, very thin and demanding food, and decided she liked us. I don’t know why she never got a name, she was just always known as The Cat, like the cat in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”!
Yes, a two-year old Jack Russel terrier, called Monty. I miss him when I’m at sea, but he does a great job keeping my wife company and protecting our house (mostly from cheeky pigeons in the garden, and the postman) while I’m away.
Here’s a photo of him:
…wearing his “doggles”, which he loves because they mean he can keep his head poking out of the car window when we’re driving (he’s strapped in with his own special seatbelt harness), without getting any flies or grit in his eyes.
I used to have a cat called Sam, but he died. Now I have a son called Sam, because we really liked the cat. I also have twin three year olds, which are effectively pets.
