0 Question: how old is the solar system Asked by doggirl to Louise on 23 Jun 2010 in Categories: General.
Louise Dash answered on 23 Jun 2010:
About 4.6 billion years old, as far as we can tell. It formed from a cloud of gas molecules that collapsed in on itself due to gravity, and the centre became the sun while the outer bits became the planets.
