• Question: what car do you drive if you won would you buy a new one?

      I don’t have a car, and I don’t really need one as I live close to work and a train station, so I can do without! They are pretty expensive to run, so think i’d rather spend my money on other things!

      I don’t drive – it’s on my to-do list though!

      My husband has a Citroen Picasso which is nice and big for fitting the kids and lots of gear in when we go camping!

      The prize is only £500 so I don’t think that’s really enough for a new car!

      I drive a Ford Ka, and no, I wouldn’t buy a new car if I won. The prize money can only be spent on projects to share our science with students in schools.

      I used to drive a Toyota Supra Mark III Turbo, which was a lot of fun – but because I go away to sea a lot, there wasn’t much point keeping it. Plus it drank so much petrol that I could actually see the petrol gauge going down when I spooled up the turbo on a fast run. 🙁
