One atom of sulphur (S) plus one atom of oxygen (O) would give you sulphur monoxide (SO). It’s quite rare though, and is only found in space. Sulphur dioxide (one sulphur and two oxygen atoms, SO2) is much more common though and Wikipedia says it is generated in volcanoes, so maybe Jon can tell you more about it! 😀

Sulphur is S and oyygen is O.

The most well known compound of sulphur and oxygen is sulphur dioxide- one sulphur atom and 2 oxygen to give sulphur dioxde- SO2

Sulphur dioxide has a characteristic smell of bad eggs, it is often found around volcanoes
