• Question: What is a difference between a meteoroid and a meteorite? Answer:The difference between a meteoroid and a meteorite is that a meteoroid is a rock that is trapped by Earth's gravity and pulled down to Earth's atmosphere. As it falls it vaporizes. A meteoroid is also a rock that is trapped by Earth's gravity and pulled down to Earth's atmosphere but, does not vaporize completely and hits the ground.
