• Question: what is anembryonic stem cell? oh and im sure our school would love to have you to show us what you do,l ast year we had malaria scientists!

      Wow, that sounds pretty cool. An embryonic stem cell is a special cell in the body that has not decided what it is going to be, so scientists like me are trying to make them into cells that could replace sick or diseased cells in people with illnessed such as diabetes or some cancers. They are hard to make, and it will take a few years until we get things working exactly right, but they are really exciting! Where is your school, if it’s possible, I’d love to come and visit your class and bring some stem cells with me for you to have a look at!

    thanks for answering my question.but yeah i will ask the teacher, because i know i would love to know more about this and others would too.we have this scheme called theme day and on one of them you have a theme like last year our theme was science so we did malaria which was interesting!

    Brilliant, I think it’s really great that you have theme days, as it lets you learn lots about one subject, and Malaria is a really great topic as it’s often forgotten how dangerous it is in other countries! I think I would like to have theme day at work!!
