I like lots of different kinds of music, it really depends what kind of mood I’m in. I particularly like loud rock like Green Day but I have to wait until the rest of the family isn’t around to turn the volume up and dance around the living room (I draw the blinds first otherwise I’d frighten the neighbours!). I like to listen to singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan or Jacques Brel when I’m more relaxed, and if I’m particularly chilled I listen to classical music – I really love Bach! 😀

When I was a teenager, I listened to heavy rock, like Iron Maiden (who were my favourite, and I still enjoy their tracks). I used to play guitar, so I like guitar-based music like that.

I find music like that good when I listen to my mp3 player while I’m out running, or on the gym, because it can get your adrenalin pumping (and I’m enjoying some more recent bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonforce, and Jet for that at the moment).

But these days, for example in the car, I enjoy listening to a wider range of music than I used to – like electropop from the 80s (even if I didn’t like it back then!), and some classical composers like Elgar and Holst. My wife does Arabic dance, and so there are some tracks from that on the car player too. I like having it on “shuffle”, so you never know what you’re going to hear next.

I listen to all kinds of stuff. I guess my favourite is rock and electronica, especially old songs from the 80’s! I also love the Glee soundtrack, which makes my workmates laugh at me!!
