• Question: Where do you think you get your scientific genes from?? :)

      I have no idea!! I am the only scientist in my family! I think that lots of crossing over of my genes must have happened as I definitely don’t get it from my parents, and my brother is not really sciencey either, he is more creative and likes art and design!
      My parents have always been very encouraging of what I do, so thats also important!

      Hi there gingernut! (Ginger nuts are one of my favourite biscuits – good name!)

      I have no idea! Neither of my parents were scientists – my dad left school at 14 and my mum at 16, I was the first person in my family to go to university. My dad was an electrician though, and I guess that’s quite scientific.

      I don’t know it there’s an actual “science gene” that makes you good at science – but I think hard work helps as well! 😉

      Good question – I don’t know if there is a “gene” for science though. Or if there is, I think we all have it – I think we’re all born “scientists”, in that we’re curious about the world around us.
