• Question: why are we called humans?

      Hi Freya

      The word “human” comes from medieval English and ultimately from the Latin “homo” – in Latin we are called “homo sapiens” which means literally “wise man” – I think it’s supposed to be our wisdom that makes us human but some days I wonder about that!
